Today Google is honouring the famous Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (23 August 1968 – 31 May 2022), popularly known as KK. He recorded songs primarily in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language. Noted for his versatility in a variety of music genres, KK is regarded among the greatest playback singers of India. He was a recipient of two Screen Awards, along with nominations for six Filmfare Awards.
KK began his career by singing advertising jingles and made his film debut in 1996 with a song in Maachis. A wonderful singer who died tragically after collapsing on stage during a live performance, his life and songs will always be remembered.
Some of his famous songs include Pyar ke pal, dus behane and Alvida among others.
KK had a huge fan base in Mauritius and he had once visited Mauritius as well for a long holiday that he remembered many times in his interviews.
