“The Chase: Celebrity Special” returned for a festive edition on ITV, with Bradley Walsh hosting an exciting Christmas 2024 episode. The Chase has a huge popularity in Mauritius and hope the fans got to watch the Christmas special episode yesterday.

Fans of The Chase were on edge during the suspenseful finale of the Christmas special, as celebrity contestants had the opportunity to win a significant amount for charity.

The festive edition of the game show, which aired on December 25, featured host Bradley Walsh alongside actor Tony Maudsley, Olympic trampoline champion Bryony Page, actress Kerry Godliman, and Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong.

The team of four amassed a prize fund of £116,000 during their time on the show, with all contestants reaching the final chase. They faced off against Chaser Jenny Ryan, known as The Vixen, who had to overcome their 23-question head start to emerge victorious—a task Bradley described as “tight.”

“Some target that,” Bradley remarked, while Jenny praised their efforts: “Sensational work, a great team performance. I knew I was up against it, but you really came together when it mattered.”

Despite a strong start, where Jenny secured 13 consecutive correct answers, the celebrities appeared disheartened. However, with just 50 seconds remaining, she stumbled on a question regarding which Prime Minister was the first to serve King Charles, mistakenly answering ‘Rishi Sunak.’

This opened the door for the team to push her back and improve their chances at winning the hefty prize. They confidently answered with ‘Liz Truss,’ prompting cheers from the studio and marking the beginning of Jenny’s decline, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Jenny faltered again on the subsequent question, allowing the celebrities to correctly answer and earning applause from the Chaser herself. She struggled further with two additional incorrect answers, each of which the contestants answered correctly, widening the gap between them.

In the end, Jenny answered 20 questions correctly, culminating in a rare victory for the celebrity team. They celebrated joyfully with a heartfelt group hug before revealing their £116,000 prize allocations to various charities.

Tony pledged £29,000 to Zoe’s Place, a hospice in Liverpool; Bryony chose The Wingate Special Children’s Trust; Kerry supported Action for Children; and Alexander selected Newcastle’s Lit and Phil library as his charity of choice.
