Ahead of the forthcoming legislative elections slated for November 10, 2024, there will be a temporary ban on the sale of alcohol starting from Saturday, November 9, until Monday, November 11. This announcement was made public through a statement issued by the police on Monday, November 4.
The restriction encompasses the day preceding the elections, the polling day, and the day assigned for the tallying of votes.
The measure is intended to ensure a secure and peaceful electoral process.
So, the police think they can ban sales of alcohol as they please?
Have they conducted a study based on ban of sale and consumption of alcohol? If so, why has it not been made available to the public?
To review, what are the statistics relating to this assumption regarding the effects of alcohol ban on alcohol consumption made by police?
In my opinion, the morons who came up with this non credible idea, are probably enjoying an alcoholic beverage at leisure.
Agree, although this is a practice happening in many countries. Honestly, people who want to drink, can always buy before and stock it up. There is no proof that consuming alcohol will end up disrupting peace of the country during election times.
