Update 4th December 2024: After the new government was elected last month, 14th month bonus could be removed for some people.

If this option is chosen, about 105,000 workers could benefit from it. A committee of the Ministries of Finance, Labour and the Office of the Attorney General is currently working on this issue to find a fair solution. The date of payment remains uncertain due to the legal challenges: a bill must be prepared, urgently presented to Parliament, approved by the president and then “gazetted”.

In December, all employees in this country, whether in the public or private sector, as well as pensioners, will benefit from the 14th month (bonus).
