A drop of about 3 degrees Celsius compared to the average temperature is expected from this Wednesday, July 2, 2025. This change is due to the arrival of a cold front followed by an anticyclone from the southwest. This is what emerges from the ‘Weather Outlook’ issued at 2:30 p.m. by the Vacoas weather station for Mauritius and Rodrigues.
According to the weather service, this system will cause temporary showers, especially on the heights of Mauritius on Tuesday night. Then, the anticyclone will strengthen the south winds and bring colder air to the island.
The cold front is expected to reach Rodrigues on Wednesday afternoon.
The high seas will become very rough, with swells of about 4 meters. It is strongly discouraged to venture into the sea from Tuesday evening in Mauritius.
The public is invited to take the necessary precautions in the face of cold and windy weather, which is expected to last until Friday, July 4, 2025.
