Effective July 1st, Sunlife has assumed management of Anahita Golf & Spa Resort and Anahita Golf Club, both situated on Mauritius’s east coast. The new arrangement, jointly announced by Alteo and Sunlife on July 3rd, marks a strategic milestone in the evolution of Anahita.

This partnership supports the long-term vision of positioning Anahita as a premier destination for golf and luxury living in the Indian Ocean. It reflects the shared commitment of Alteo and Sunlife to elevate the resort’s reputation both locally and internationally.

Anahita has been a flagship development for Alteo for over 15 years, embodying the group’s ambition to foster growth on the east coast through a blend of lifestyle, leisure, and cultural heritage.

Sunlife’s operational expertise and strong regional partnerships are expected to enhance the resort’s performance, complementing Anahita’s established appeal.

François Eynaud, CEO of Sunlife, stated, “We are proud to welcome Anahita into our portfolio. This move aligns with our growth strategy and reinforces our mission to ‘Radiate the Magic of Mauritius’ through authentic experiences and exceptional service.”

Fabien de Marassé Enouf, CEO of Alteo, added, “Anahita has always been central to our vision. Partnering with Sunlife ensures continued development and international recognition, while staying true to our values.”

Known for its refined hospitality, luxury accommodation, and world-class golf, Anahita complements Sunlife’s collection of resorts, which includes Sugar Beach, La Pirogue, Long Beach, and Ambre.

The resort is also forging strong ties with key regional partners such as Four Seasons, Île aux Cerfs, and Shangri-La Le Touessrok, establishing itself as a lifestyle and sports destination of distinction. Collaborative initiatives with Île aux Cerfs Golf Club will further reinforce Anahita’s position as a leading golf hub.

Sunlife and Alteo are working closely to ensure a seamless transition for employees, homeowners, guests, and stakeholders. A five-year renovation plan is underway, with significant investment earmarked to modernize infrastructure and elevate guest experiences, reaffirming Anahita’s status as a world-class destination.

Both companies remain firmly committed to sustainable development on the east coast and to maintaining Anahita’s unique identity, while contributing to a diverse and resilient Mauritian economy.
