Sohail Sesungkur, son of former Financial Services Minister Sudhir Sesungkur, is the talk of the town again and for all the wrong reasons. After having already made headlines for taking his father’s car without authorization that was found a few days later, the young man was arrested again this time at Plaisance airport.

He was arrested for possession of a firearm, a syringe, as well as for driving under the influence of narcotics. According to sources, he was driving a rental car and was trying to access the VIP Lounge at the airport when he was subjected to a routine check.

During the arrest, Sohail Seesungkur reportedly told the police that he was on site to meet a “high personality”. A drug test (Preliminary Drug Test) was positive for this 26-year-old Moka resident.

Vehicle search revealed a syringe and a firearm, which could possibly be a collector’s item. The object was seized and sent to the ballistics department for analysis. The young man was detained pending his appearance before the Court on Monday, November 10.
