A warning of strong waves is in force in Mauritius until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. According to the latest bulletin from the Vacoas weather station, issued on Monday, August 18, clouds associated with the remains of a frontal system from the southwest are currently influencing the local weather. They will be followed by a strong anticyclone.

The weather will be rather cloudy with intermittent rain, especially in the south and on the central plateau. Maximum temperatures will vary between 19 and 21 °C on the central plateau and between 23 and 26 °C in the coastal regions. At night, minimums will oscillate between 14 and 16 °C on the heights and between 18 and 20 °C on the coast.

Rains have been causing havoc in majority of the countries where it’s monsoon season including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Caution needs to be observed in case venturing to the beaches.
